Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic full-stack software developer to join our growing bioinformatics team. The primary responsibility will be to customize software solutions developed by our international partner, the SeqOIA laboratory in France. The employee will be required to:

To facilitate integration and collaboration with SeqOIA, the employee will spend an initial training period of three months at SeqOIA's Bioinformatic laboratory in Paris under the supervision of senior software developers. Afterward, the employee will return to a full-time position in Innsbruck, where they will serve as a liaison between the two centers.

Employment Terms

The position is full-time with the possibility of 20% home-office. The annual minimum salary for this position is currently €47,464.20 gross at the base level and may increase based on the collective agreement provisions through the recognition of job-related prior experience. An overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and professional experience.

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic full-stack software developer to join our growing bioinformatics team. The primary responsibility will be to customize software solutions developed by our international partner, the SeqOIA laboratory in France. The employee will be required to:

  • Establish proficiency in the software developed by SeqOIA.
  • Contribute to supporting and making the software accessible to the community.
  • Develop software features of general interest to the community (e.g., translation).
  • Develop custom solutions for the requirements of the Institute for Human Genetics (MUI).

Qualifications

  • Completed technical training (university, technical college, HTL).
  • Front-end development tools: Svelte, OpenUI5, Jquery, CSS.
  • Back-end development tools: Java, Python (not exhaustive).
  • RDBMS: MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
  • Web services: REST.
  • Operating systems: Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of French and German is a plus.
